Fried Tofu

1 block firm tofu, well-drained

 

1/4 C. flour

vegetable oil

 

2 green onions, chopped

1 C. water

 

2 tsp. liquid amino

1/4 C. light shoyu (soy sauce)

 

1/4 C. mirin

     
Cut tofu into 16 cubes. Coat each piece with a little flour and fry in oil until slightly browned (do not turn too early or it will break apart). Drain on paper towels. In a small saucepan, combine water, amino, shoyu and mirin; bring to a boil. Sprinkle tofu with green onions and pour hot sauce over all. Serve warm.
